Bavishna Aravinthan

Bavishna has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of four, learning under the guidance of her mother, the Co-Founder and Owner of the academy. With a wealth of experience, she has performed in numerous shows across Ontario and the USA, captivating audiences with her grace and skill. Bavishna participated in the prestigious Kalakshetra Foundation's Saanganika Kaaryashala in 2021 and has also trained under renowned Kalakshetra instructors Mrs. Suhasini and Vasundhara Thomas. In addition to her dedication to dance, Bavishna excels academically as an honor student and has earned several medals and been recognized on the honor roll, demonstrating her commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on stage.

Prisha Patel

​Prisha is a hardworking dancer, and has been learning Bharatanatyam for the past 10 years under the guidance of Ms. Sashi Aravinth. She proudly completed her Arangetram in 2024, marking an important milestone in her classical dance journey, reflecting years of dedication, discipline, and perseverance. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to perform at numerous cultural events and community celebrations, sharing the beauty of Bharatanatyam with audiences of all ages. Prisha is currently a Youth Dance Instructor at Arunodhaya Dance Academy, she has mentored young students, encouraging them as they develop their skills and confidence. Through every performance and teaching opportunity, Prisha remains committed to preserving and promoting the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam while sharing its beauty with diverse audiences.

Gayathri Krishna Menon

Gayathri began her training in Bharatanatyam at the tender age of 5 under the guidance of Ms. Sashi Aravinth. Her natural affinity for music was apparent even before she turned 2, as she instinctively moved her head to the rhythm of the beats. Recognizing this early passion for the arts, her parents enrolled her in dance classes to establish a solid foundation.

Throughout her journey, Gayathri has demonstrated remarkable prowess in both dance and academics. Her dedication earned her the excellence in dance award at her Grade 8 graduation, alongside maintaining honour student status. She views dance as a powerful discipline for the mind and enjoys diversifying her fitness regime with various styles, from hip hop to Zumba. Gayathri also takes pleasure in mentoring her younger sister in dance and is always ready to embrace dance-related challenges.
For the past two years, Gayathri has been a teaching assistant at Arunodhaya Dance Academy, where she approaches her role with dedication and maturity. As a high school student, she skillfully balances her academic pursuits with her responsibilities as a teaching assistant and an air cadet, while continuing her own dance education.

In her leisure time, Gayathri indulges in reading a wide range of genres, from mythology and Shakespearean works to comics and romantic novels. She is committed to enhancing her English vocabulary, creating and editing videos based on Shakespearean stories, writing poems with aspirations of future publication, and excelling as a competitive video gamer.

Gayathri's excellence extends to STEM subjects, and she aspires to contribute significantly to the STEM fields in the future.

Niva Pandya

Niva is a dedicated Youth Assistant Instructor for Bollywood dance, with a strong foundation in Bharathanatyam, which she has been learning at Arunodhaya for the past eight years. Currently preparing for her arangetram, Niva brings a deep passion for dance to her teaching. Over the years, she has performed and choreographed Bollywood dances at various community and Town of Ajax events, earning numerous accolades and appreciation for her vibrant performances and creative choreography. Niva's commitment to dance and her ability to inspire others makes her an invaluable member of the teaching team.

Tamanna Rao

Tamanna Rao is a accomplished classical dancer with expertise spanning Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and Indian Folk styles. She has learnt under guidance of Mrs. Sashikala Sellathurai from the age of 10, and has completed her Arangetram in 2026. As an Assistant Dance Instructor at Arunodhaya Dance Academy, she has led and mentored young dancers, focusing on foundational technique, expressive performance, and class management. Honored by the Legislative Assembly of Ontario for her cultural dance performances, Tamanna combines her passion for traditional arts with a supportive, empathetic teaching style to foster confidence, rhythm, and discipline in her students.
