Make Up and Costumes for Our Performances:
S-Kat Artistry:
Make-up in Bharatanatyam is precise and poetic. The colours and intensity add depth to the performer’s expressions (Bhava). Bharatanatyam make-up should look elegant. Make-up should be suitable for stage light which differs from day light. Our school emphasizes the importance of make-up, costume, and jewelry in every performance from the students of Arunodhaya Dance Academy. The school has hired the services of Kanista Kathir, owner of S.Kat Artistry, a freelance artist growing in the Make-up industry. Kanista has over 7 years of experience in Performance make-up and under 2 years of experience in Bridal make-up. Her knowledge in the field and the care she has for each client makes her a great artist. She is known for ability to adopt to many different complexions and styles.
Services are available on location anywhere in the GTA. Available to travel on request.
For Our Costumes we use the professional services of Mr. Krishna from Umadresse's Aahaaryaa, Shanti Tailors and in Chennai India.
For Jewelry we use the professional service from Bharath Jewelry in Chennai India.
