​POLICIES AND LIABILITY WAIVER 


    In checking the box below I agree that Arunodhaya Dance Academy is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of my personal belongings while I attend class. I understand that classes at the Arunodhaya Dance Academy may be physically strenuous and I voluntarily participate in them with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss or death. I agree that neither I, my heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against Arunodhaya Dance Academy or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

    1. Registration and Term fees - fees are due before getting on the dance floor. 

    2. Refund policy - All Payments are Non-Refundable as their purpose is to confirm that the child/student will be attending  the Academy & that spot will be reserved for them at Arunodhaya Dance Academy for the year. 

    3. Personal injury - You (and your children) will be participating in physical activities, and as such, you realize there is an element of physical risk involved, for which you accept full responsibility, and you hold harmless the staff and management of Arunodhaya Dance Academy in case of an injury. Any limitation in ability to participate due to medical condition must be given in writing at time of registration. Failure to give notice in writing of such condition is a pledge that no such condition exists.

    4. Liability policy - You and your agents, personal representatives, and assigns, hereby release and discharge Arunodhaya Dance Academy and its staff and management from any and all liability for personal injury or property damage rising out of the use of the premises and participation in activities. Every dance class participant, and his/her parent or guardian (if the player is under 18) must read, execute and deliver this waiver to Arunodhaya Dance Academy and/or faculty prior to the commencement of a class or event. In consideration of the right and opportunity to participate in classes or events conducted by Arunodhaya Dance Academy, the undersigned hereby acknowledges and agrees as follows: I (who am the participant’s parent or legal guardian if the participant is under 18 years old) hereby consent to the use without compensation, of my/his/her name and/or likeness, biographical material and/or voice in publicity, advertising, social media and Arunodhaya Dance Academy website. In addition, the undersigned (on behalf of the participant if the participant is under 18 years of age) forever generally and completely release and discharge and shall indemnify and hold harmless Arunodhaya Dance Academy and its owners, employees, directors, officers, agents, sponsors, partners and licensees and each other party affiliated with Arunodhaya Dance Academy and each of its owners, agents, directors, officers, employees, sponsors and partners against and from any and all claims and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever, for damages or injuries, actual or consequential, past, present or future, arising out of or in any way related to Arunodhaya Dance Academy, including but not limited to any claims of injury from participating in or observing the class, the loss of personal property by theft or otherwise during the class, or any publicity relating to the class. The undersigned acknowledges that of its own free will he/she has chosen to participate in classes and/or events. I understand and acknowledge that the aforementioned activities carry with them minimal level of risk of injury. I certify that I am aware of, and accept, these risks and that I am mentally and physically prepared for dance class. This general release shall further apply to all unknown, unanticipated, unsuspected, and undisclosed claims, demands, liabilities, actions or causes of action, in law, equity or otherwise. This Waiver shall bind the heirs, personal representatives, and successors of the undersigned, and inure to the benefit of the Event Organizers.

    5. Cancellation - To cancel a private lesson without charge, 24 hours notice is required. Arunodhaya Dance Academy reserves the right to remove students from a class because of excessive lateness and/or absence, disruptive behavior, and/or non-payment of tuition or other charges due.

    6. Registration and behavior: Arunodhaya Dance Academy reserves the right to drop students from classes for: excessive lateness and/or absence, disruptive behavior, non payment of tuition or other charges due.

    7.  Private Lesson Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel a private lesson, please provide at least 24 hours notice.  Private lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may still be billed for 50% of the lesson fee.  In case of cancellation due to emergency, please let us know.

    8. Photo waiver: Photo/Video Release Waiver: I acknowledge and consent to allow Arunodhaya Dance  Academy to use: photos and/or videos of my child/myself in publications (such as flyers/brochures), advertisements (such as newspapers or online ads), our studio’s website, or on social media sites (such as the studio’s Facebook or Instagram account). I understand that in some cases, my child and/or my name may be used. I further understand no financial compensation will be for use of these photos/videos. 

    PAYMENT INFORMATION

    Dance fees must be paid in full by the due dates or students will not be permitted in class. ​ The Academy will administer a $40 charge to all cheques returned by the bank for whatever reason. ​ The studio will administer a $25 charge to all late payments and postponed/held tuition payments for whatever reason. Payments not submitted by Academy's due date are considered late.

    ​There are no refunds or transferal of fees on any payments received by Arunodhaya Dance Academy, including the unused portion of a term payment.
    In the event of withdrawal from classes, the office must be notified in writing 14 days prior to the next scheduled payment date for your account to be cancelled and to have no further fees apply.  

    ​A $25 administration fee will be charged to all refunds made throughout the dance season.
    A ​3% per month will be charged on delinquent accounts. Fees are applied to accounts on the final day of each month for the term.

    ​There is no refund or credit for missed classes.
